Paris Design Week 2017

Balsan is taking part in Paris Design Week for the very first time. Come and meet us during the event at our showroom at 99, Rue de la Verrerie in Paris's 4th arrondissement.

From 8 to 16 September 2017, Paris will be hosting designers from around the world for Paris Design Week. A wide array of exhibitions, cocktail events and private views are set to take place, showcasing the work of interior decorators and designers by theme, including:

  • Design Without Borders, which offers a cosmopolitan introduction to the world of design - from the Atlantic to the Ural Mountains - giving you the opportunity to discover or rediscover design in all its many forms, with its varied regional sources of inspiration.
  • L’Entrée en Matière, which brings together artists working with a range of different materials (wood, textiles, acrylic, etc.) and will immerse you in a world of creativity.
  • Les Talents Emergents, a springboard that enables young designers and creatives to take part in a competition with broad media coverage to help get them noticed.

Balsan will be unveiling the brand-new exhibition from designer Marta Bakowski, who will be spending the entire Paris Design Week at our Parisian showroom. Come and discover her latest work, as well as a selection of her pieces produced by Roche Bobois, La Chance and Design for Peace.

Colour and texture are this young designer's hallmarks and have been at the heart of Balsan's identity since the very beginning. The CHROMA SCOPE exhibition is the fruit of this collaboration and an illustration of their shared passion.

You are cordially invited to a cocktail reception hosted by the Balsan team and Marta on 8 September.

Balsan collaborated with François Bernard and MAISON&OBJET on the theme of 'Comfort Zone', creating cosy, stylish spaces that replenish well-being and feature three of our products: Sweet Dreams, Sublime and Boléro Sonic Confort. Come and meet the MAISON&OBJET community that Balsan is proud to be a part of from 8 to 12 September at Paris Nord Villepinte.

Generously supported by Roche Bobois, La Chance and Design For Peace.
