Context:

  • Refurbishment, internally and externally, of the JECL building, a huge construction project started in 2007 originally built to contain the European conference centre and which became "The Capital" in 2008,
  • "The Capital", a 55,000 m² office building occupying 8 floors is divided into six separate units containing in total 2500 offices equipped with the latest technology,
  • The character of the buildings is based on the six founding capitals of the European Union (Rome, Paris, Berlin, Luxembourg, the Hague, Brussels). Each unit bears the name of one of these capitals,
  • An original, high quality architectural design involving a cylindrical building inside a triangle,
  • Creation of office areas, meeting rooms and corridors.
 

 

Balsan recommend's:

  • An ecologically designed product, consisting of 100% recycled yarn, as a supplementary response to the developer's invitation to tender,
