Context:
- Network Institute INCH (the International Network Connecting Hospitality School Graduates) wants to create a hotel room at the Hotelschool Amsterdam in cooperation with Balsan,
- Aim: To create a hotel room whose theme is being different, spontaneous and unconventional.
- Balsan’s carpet design studio worked with interior designer Frank ter Horst of Amsterdam-based East Village Concepts to create an extraordinary room dotted with motifs from all different traditions.

Balsan recommend’s:
- Patterns designed by Philippe Stark's studio,
- Checkerboard pattern in the bedrooms,
- Design in line with the manual, watercolour aspect of the style already in place,
- Designs that evoke Lyon incorporated into the communal areas: the city can be explored by moving from door to door,
- Visuals and acoustics enhanced by textile flooring in spaces with a raw, natural style.
