With its new product Lift Up, Balsan unveils BioBack, a next-generation backing designed to reduce the carbon impact of textile flooring while ensuring performance and durability. This innovation marks a new milestone in Balsan's environmental commitment for commercial spaces.
A very low-carbon backing
Designed according to circular economy principles, BioBack has a carbon footprint of only 0.3 kg CO₂e/m². Its composition includes :
- 88% biogenic carbon derived from wood recovery
- An intermediate layer made of 100% recycled polyester
- A design free from bitumen, PVC and polyolefin
The BioBack backing is also 100% recoverable at end of life and compatible with Balsan’s ReUse program.
Performance and ease of installation
Developed for intensive commercial use, BioBack guarantees excellent dimensional stability and long-lasting durability. Thanks to the B-Connect© system, installation and removal are simplified, without adhesive, creating more flexible and easier-to-manage spaces.
