Hotel: what cleaning products can I use?

Advice clean hotel localised cleaning

You need to study the different types of detergents carefully to find the one that is most suitable.

Carpets: making an informed choice of detergent

Because we're talking about a textile, the choice of cleaning products for carpets should be taken very seriously. As a reflection of quality in your establishment - in a similar way to linen - your hotel's flooring must be flawless. As fibres are sensitive to chemicals, choosing products on impulse should be strictly avoided as they could lead to permanent discolouration. Whitening agents such as bleach or oxygenated water, and alkaline products should therefore be excluded from your stock of detergents.

Instead, we recommend that you use products specially suited for carpets. Be sure to read the recommendations on the packaging in any case, as well as the technical sheet, and strictly adhere to the instructions.

Other products to be avoided: odour killers, essential oils and products with a pH higher than 8.

Good practices for cleaning your carpet

Once you have found the right detergent, make sure not to skip any steps! It is crucial that you test the chosen detergent to check that it will not damage your flooring. To do so, carry out a test on a hidden area or a spare piece of carpet.

Once the carpet has been treated, make sure there is no product residue and always rinse with water.
