Inspired by nature, both minimalist and warm, practical yet colourful, the Swedish look inspired our Style and Design team to ask the budding designers at the famous Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm for their take on BALSAN carpets.
This spring, 6 of our carpet collections have been given a new lease of life to resonate with the season:
Sheila Hicks is an American artist, born in Nebraska in 1934. She studied at Yale University, where she was a pupil of Josef Albers, a painter and colour theorist.
A retrospective of Sheila Hicks’s unique work “Lignes de Vie”, exhibited at the Pompidou Centre until 30 April 2018. For those who couldn’t make Balsan’s Artistic Encounter, now is your chance to revel in these images of her textile art.
